CHINCHILLA. A pastoral, dairying, and farming township on the western line, '203 miles from Brisbane. A co-operative dairy factory has just been started. Last January (1907), 34,585 lbs. of cream were railed to Dalby and Toowoomba from Chinchilla Railway Station to various butter factories there. During the January previous (1906) something like 2000 lbs. cream only were railed. This demonstrates the expansion of the dairying industry 'during the twelve months. Population (estimated). 500. {This was published in 1910}
